高輪美術館で1985年、西武美術館で1986年の開催された「イブ・クライン展」のカタログ。巻末のクラインの年表は、彼の生涯と制作活動を年代を追って見るのに最適。作品も、包括的に紹介されていて、イブ・クラインを知るのに貴重な資料でもある。解説は日本語だけであるが、巻末にフランスの美術評論家ピエール・レスタニーPierre Restanyの"Yves Klein Entre Le Moderne Et Le Post Moderne"がフランス語で掲載されている。他に東野芳明による「イブ・クライン - 聖なる道化芸術家」も巻頭に掲載されている。
Catalog of the "Yves Klein Exhibition" held at the Takanawa Museum of Art in 1985 and at the Seibu Museum of Art in 1986. The chronology of Klein's life and creative activities at the end of the catalogue is an excellent way to follow his life and work chronologically. The works are also comprehensively introduced, making it a valuable resource for learning about Yves Klein. The commentary is in Japanese only, but "Yves Klein Entre Le Moderne Et Le Post Moderne" by French art critic Pierre Restany is included at the end of the book in French. "Yves Klein - The Sacred Clown Artist" by Yoshiaki Tono is also included at the front of the book.
