入江泰吉（1905年 - 1992年）は、奈良県出身の写真家で。大和路の風景や仏像、伝統行事などを半世紀にわたり撮影した。戦後、奈良の仏像が接収されるという噂を聞き、仏像や風景を写真に記録することを決意。 入江泰吉記念奈良市写真美術館には、約8万点に及ぶ作品が所蔵されている。 この「古色 大和路 Scenes of Ancient Nara」は、保存状態極上でお勧め。
Taikichi Irie (1905–1992) was a photographer from Nara Prefecture. Over the course of half a century, he photographed the landscapes of the Yamato region, Buddhist statues, and traditional events. After the war, upon hearing rumors that Buddhist statues in Nara were to be confiscated, he resolved to document them and the surrounding landscapes through photography. The Inoue Taikichi Memorial Nara City Photography Museum houses approximately 80,000 works. This “Ancient Colors of the Yamato Road: Scenes of Ancient Nara” is in excellent condition and highly recommended.
