Launched in 1998, artbyte is "the magazine of digital arts and culture." Since its inception in October 1998, artbyte has sought to cover a broad spectrum of digital culture, from net art to electronic music to video games. Aiming for a niche that stretched between mainstream technology magazines like Wired magazine and art magazines, circulation eventually grew to 40,000. Artbyte was dissolved in 2001. This was the November-December 2000 issue, featuring "SEX 2.0." The interesting features all stand out, but it is a pity that they did not find a readership.
