The book had the idea of publishing a book about the visual culture associated with techno music and the entrepreneurial spirit to make this book happen without being part of a company or publishing house and without much of a budget.
"Localizer 1.0" it was called, and when it went to print, it received a great response and it became clear that there was a market for it. Based on this potential, Gestalten was founded as a publishing house.
