ヒプノシスはロンドンを拠点とするイギリスのアート・デザイン・グループで、ロック・ミュージシャンやバンドのアルバム・ジャケットのアートワーク制作を専門としていた。ヒプノシスは1973年、ピンク・フロイドの『ダークサイド・オブ・ザ・ムーン』のジャケット・デザインで世界的に大きな脚光を浴びた。
ピンク・フロイド、デフ・レパード、T・レックス、プリティ・シングス、ブラック・サバス、ウィッシュボーン・アッシュ、UFO、10cc、バッド・カンパニー、レッド・ツェッペリン、AC/DC、スコーピオンズ、ザ・ナイス、ポール・マッカートニー＆ウイングス、アラン・パーソンズ・プロジェクト、イエス、ジェネシス、ピーター・ガブリエル、エレクトリック・ライト・オーケストラ、レインボー、スティクス、アル・スチュワートなどの仕事を手がけた。

Hipgnosis were an English art design group based in London, that specialised in creating album cover artwork for rock musicians and bands. Hipgnosis gained major international prominence in 1973 with their cover design for Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon.
Their commissions included work for Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, T. Rex, the Pretty Things, Black Sabbath, Wishbone Ash, UFO, 10cc, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Scorpions, The Nice, Paul McCartney & Wings, the Alan Parsons Project, Yes, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Electric Light Orchestra, Rainbow, Styx and Al Stewart.
