This book is a compilation of 50 hours of interviews with Alfred Hitchcock, one of the most important film directors of the 20th century, by François Follefour, a French Nouvelle Vague film director, screenwriter, and actor. There are also 520 photographs, which reveal Hitchcock's meticulous direction in great detail. Their conversations go from the main plot of the film to the subtleties of the detailed direction. It is a remarkable situation in the history of cinema. Hitchcock's intricate thinking in directing the film unravels.
