間　20年後の帰還展 MA Espace-Temps du Japon

東京藝術大学大学美術館において2000年に開催された展覧会の冊子。
1978年にパリの装飾美術館、翌年にはニューヨークで開催され、その後ヒューストン、シカゴ、ストックホルム、ヘルシンキと巡回し、当時好評を博した「MA Space-Time in Japan 間　日本の時空間」展を再現。磯崎新がキュレーターを務めたこの展覧会は、日本の芸術に内在する美意識を紹介している。
ここでは「うつ・みたて・もどき・ま」という「間」にまつわる4つのキーワードを用いて、日本の現代アートにも認められる伝統的な美意識と共通するものを取り上げる。

This is a booklet of the exhibition held at The Museum of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2000.
This is a reproduction of the exhibition "MA Space-Time in Japan" which was held at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1978, in New York the following year, and later traveled to Houston, Chicago, Stockholm, and Helsinki, where it was well received at the time. Curated by Arata Isozaki, the exhibition introduced the aesthetic sense inherent in Japanese art.
Four key words related to "ma” (utu, mittate, modoki, ma) are used here to highlight the commonalities with the traditional aesthetic sense recognized in contemporary Japanese art.
